Improve your Supply Chain by Data Analytics
The correct interpretation of data is essential for every aspect of supply chain management, from forecasting and inventory optimization to warehouse management and process design.
Organizations collect an enormous amount of data about their business processes on a daily basis.
Analyzing this and drawing the right conclusions regarding the correct design and management of the process means that data can actually be converted into value for the organization
Denk daarbij aan het opstellen van eenmalige business cases om een keus te maken over structurele procesinrichting, of het inrichten van structurele monitoring van relevante (key) metrics teneinde de operationele, tactische of strategische aansturing optimaal vorm te geven.
The toolkit - the right tool for every job
With 14 years of experience in Supply Chain analyzes I have now built up an extensive analysis toolbox.
The goal of achieving the maximum result in accordance with the customer objective therefore remains central, and the most suitable means to achieve the goal can be selected.
Below is an overview of the analytical tools that I use:
Advanced Excel and VBA-programming
Excel remains one of the most versatile tools for data analysis, and with advanced Excel skills I can help you get the most out of your data. Whether it’s building complex models, performing detailed data analysis or automating repetitive tasks with VBA (macros), I provide solutions that save time and reduce errors.
SQL for relational databases
Data analysis by means of SQL goes one step further. I use this tool when there are relational relationships between data sources (tables) in a database that are too large or complex for Excel.
Python for advanced analysis
Python is a powerful tool for performing advanced analytics, from predictive modeling to data visualization. It is versatile and agile. I use Python to solve complex business cases with the best settings for the various relevant parameters and variables.
The model: “Item allocation: Shelf or Pallet” is an example of an analysis done entirely in Python.
Power Apps for Custom Applications
With Power Apps I can build custom applications that integrate seamlessly and easily with your existing systems, automate workflows and improve efficiency. Whether it is creating mobile apps or automating processes or data processing, Power Apps offers a flexible solution within the Office365 package.
PowerBI and Tableau – Reports and Dashboards
Data is of course constantly changing and within the organization there is a great need for insight and monitoring, presented in a user-friendly way. Here, a one-off analysis is no longer sufficient, and Excel files are too unstable and laborious. In that case, dashboards are a solution. I can create customized dashboards for operational, tactical or strategic monitoring of Supply Chain processes. I combine my knowledge of “best practice” Supply Chain metrics with the skills to translate these into a dashboard.
FlexSim for Simulation
More information.
